Vernon Davis officially limited Tuesday 09-24-2013
Vernon Davis TE SF
Updating a previous item, Vernon Davis (hamstring) was officially limited in Tuesday's practice. Davis has gotten in two limited practices after not participating at all in practice last week and missing Week 3. Look for him to remain limited or bumped up to full participation Wednesday. Davis should play Thursday night.

Cardinals lose OLB Okafor (biceps) for season 09-24-2013
Alex Okafor LB ARZ
Cardinals fourth-round OLB Alex Okafor suffered a torn biceps and is done for the season.

Alex Marvez on Twitter
The word comes straight from coach Bruce Arians' mouth. Okafor is the third outside 'backer the Cardinals have lost for the season in the past two days, joining Lorenzo Alexander and Sam Acho. Okafor played five snaps last week but was likely in line for a bigger role this week. The Cardinals will promote ILB Kenny Demens from the practice squad to take Okafor's roster spot.
Texans moving rookie OLB Montgomery to DE 09-24-2013
Sam Montgomery LB CIN
The Texans are moving third-round OLB Sam Montgomery to defensive end.

John McClain on Twitter
Montgomery (6-foot-3, 262) played 4-3 end in college at LSU. His fit for the Texans' 3-4 scheme at outside 'backer was immediately questioned upon his selection. He lacks explosion off the edge and has a slow first step. Montgomery's been inactive the first three weeks and will likely remain that way.
Daryl Richardson (foot) practices Tuesday 09-24-2013
Daryl Richardson RB NYJ
Daryl Richardson (foot) returned to a full practice Tuesday. Richardson was limited on Monday after playing just two snaps in the Week 3 blowout loss to the Cowboys. He's a flex option this week versus the Niners.
Chris Givens returns to full practice Tuesday 09-24-2013
Chris Givens WR STL
Chris Givens (knee) returned to a full practice Tuesday. Givens sat out on Monday. The Rams were just giving their No. 1 receiver a day off after the team was clobbered by Dallas the previous day. Givens is on the WR4 radar this week against the 49ers on Thursday night.
Cam Wake (knee) not yet ruled out for Week 4 09-24-2013
Cameron Wake LB MIA
Dolphins LE Cameron Wake (knee) was limited to "field work" in Tuesday's practice, but "still hopes to play (Week 4) in pass situations."

Armando Salguero on Twitter
Vernon Davis practicing again on Tuesday 09-24-2013
Vernon Davis TE SF
Vernon Davis (hamstring) participated in Tuesday's practice.

Matt Maiocco on Twitter
Davis' participation level remains unclear, but it's the second straight day he's practiced. He was "limited" on Monday. Davis didn't practice at all last week before ultimately getting a "questionable" tag and sitting out against the Colts. The Niners desperately need Davis to suit up after presenting almost no offensive threat vs. Indy.
Report: Miles Austin not possibility for DET 09-24-2013
Miles Austin WR CLE
A Dallas source tells DetroitLions.com's Mike O'Hara that Miles Austin is not on the track block.

Mike O'Hara on Twitter
Austin's name got bandied about as a potential target for the receiver-needy Lions, but it's predictably not going to happen. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would never give up on a potential asset in-season. Dealing with yet another hamstring injury, Austin's status is unclear for Week 4.
Dimitri Patterson (groin) suffers setback 09-24-2013
Dimitri Patterson CB NYJ
Dolphins RCB Dimitri Patterson (groin) says he suffered a setback last week, and is unsure if he'll be ready for Monday's game against the Saints.

Barry Jackson on Twitter
Patterson doesn't have a timetable for a return to practice, and can be all but ruled out for Week 4. He has been battling the injury since Week 1. Nolan Carroll is starting in Patterson's absence.
Dolphins' Soliai says he's '50-50' for Week 4 09-24-2013
Paul Soliai DT ATL
Dolphins NT Paul Soliai (knee) has yet to resume practicing, and considers himself "50-50" for Week 4.

Barry Jackson on Twitter
Soliai missed Sunday's win over the Falcons. Were Soliai to sit Monday against the Saints, it's possible the Dolphins could decide to hold him out through their Week 6 bye.
49ers OC: No timetable for Michael Crabtree 09-24-2013
Michael Crabtree WR SF
Speaking Tuesday, 49ers OC Greg Roman said there remains no timetable for Michael Crabtree's (Achilles, PUP) return.

49ers.com
"I don't think there's any specific day or date," Roman said. "If we can get him back this year, that'd be gravy." The earliest Crabtree could return is Week 11, but there's yet to be evidence that's a realistic possibility. The odds Crabtree helps fantasy owners this season are exceedingly slim. There's little point in stashing him outside of Dynasty leagues.
Raiders coach offers no clues on Week 4 QB 09-24-2013
Terrelle Pryor QB SEA
Speaking Tuesday, Raiders coach Dennis Allen said he's preparing for Week 4 as if both Terrelle Pryor (concussion) and Matt Flynn are starting.

Contra Costa Times
Pryor's status is murky after he got crunched between Denver's Danny Trevathan and Wesley Woodyard Monday. He was running a quarterback draw. Allen said he has no plans to change the Raiders' play-calling despite the injury to his dual-threat quarterback. "If you're going to put him in there, you have to play the game, you have to call the game that gives him the best chance to have success," Allen said. "I don't have any problem with what we did. It's unfortunate that he took the hit. But we have to move on from it."
Vaughn Martin banished to injured reserve 09-24-2013
Vaughn Martin DE DET
Dolphins placed DT Vaughn Martin on injured reserve, ending his season. The move clears a roster spot for Marvin Austin. Martin's "injury" isn't immediately apparent. Thrust into action by injuries along the Dolphins' defensive line, Martin struggled in 25 snaps against the Falcons on Sunday. It's an admission of failure from GM Jeff Ireland, who handed Martin a two-year, $4 million contract in March that included $750,000 guaranteed. It's not a huge sum of wasted money in and of itself, but dead dollars add up fast in the NFL.
Seahawks waive DT D'Anthony Smith 09-24-2013
D'Anthony Smith DT SEA
Seahawks waived DT D'Anthony Smith. It's a bit of a surprise after Smith signed a "one-year extension" earlier this month, though his deal didn't include any new guaranteed money. Acquired from the Browns at final cuts, Smith was active for two of the Seahawks' first three games, making five tackles. It's possible he'll get plucked off waivers.

Patrick Willis 'hopeful' he can give it a go 09-24-2013
Patrick Willis LB SF
49ers ILB Patrick Willis (groin) is "hopeful" he'll be ready for Thursday night's game against the Rams.

Ian Rapoport on Twitter
Despite Willis' optimism, the odds are very slim he'll be ready for San Francisco's venture into the central time zone. The 49ers simply have nothing to gain by declaring him "out" two days ahead of time. We expect Willis to sit, and for Michael Wilhoite to fill in. It's a massive downgrade for a Niners team that's on the ropes.
Anthony Spencer needs season-ending surgery 09-24-2013
Anthony Spencer LB DAL
Cowboys LE Anthony Spencer's (knee) agent tweets he's undergoing season-ending surgery, and will be "100 percent by January or February."

Jordan Woy on Twitter
The other shoe dropped a little more than seven hours after owner Jerry Jones said Spencer might not play again this season. The exact nature of his procedure is unclear, but Jones suggested it could be microfracture, which is perhaps the most serious knee operation an NFL player can undergo. It leaves the Cowboys in a lurch for this season, and Spencer's status muddled for 2014, despite his agent's "January or February" proclamation. Playing under the franchise tag for the second consecutive year, Spencer turns 30 in January.
Report: No timetable on Aldon's time away 09-24-2013
Aldon Smith DE SF
A source tells ESPN's Ed Werder there's no timetable for 49ers OLB Aldon Smith's stay in rehab.

Ed Werder on Twitter
"We want him to be treated as a person, not as a player," the source said. "It's not like he's going to be magically cured in a month. If the problem is serious enough, a month might not be enough. The only timetable on this is him getting well."

Chiefs promote OG Rishaw Johnson 09-24-2013
Rishaw Johnson G TB
Chiefs promoted OG Rishaw Johnson from the practice squad. LB Josh Martin was waived in a corresponding roster move. A second-year undrafted free agent, Johnson spent time on the Seahawks' roster last season, but has never appeared in an NFL game.
Bucs waive TE Danny Noble 09-24-2013
Danny Noble TE JAX
Bucs waived TE Danny Noble.

Aaron Wilson on Twitter
It's a sign Tom Crabtree (ankle) could be back for Week 4. Noble should be stashed back on the practice squad once he clears waivers.
'Fear' that Henry Hynoski done for season 09-24-2013
Henry Hynoski RB NYG
According to the Newark Star-Ledger, the "fear" is that Giants FB Henry Hynoski's fractured shoulder is a season-ending injury.

Conor Orr on Twitter
Beat writer Conor Orr believes Hynoski could soon be headed to injured reserve, but there's been no word from the Giants. The loss of their lead blocker isn't going to help the Giants' thus far anemic rushing attack, but backup Bear Pascoe isn't a massive downgrade.
Bills bring back DT Jay Ross 09-24-2013
Jay Ross DT BUF
Bills re-signed DT Jay Ross.

Chris Brown on Twitter
Ross was waived two Tuesdays ago. His return is a sign the Bills are worried about the status of at least one of Mario Williams (ankle) and Marcell Dareus (ankle) for Week 4.
Ryan Broyles says he's ready for bigger role 09-24-2013
Ryan Broyles WR DET
Ryan Broyles (knee soreness) says he's ready for a bigger role in the wake of Nate Burleson's (broken arm) injury.

Tim Twentyman on Twitter
Ready or not, Broyles is getting an increased role, so it's good he at least thinks he's ready. Broyles has played just 17 snaps through the Lions' first three games, but should see somewhere between 30-40 in Week 4. Broyles plays the slot. He's on the PPR radar.
Brett Favre's agent: 'He could play today' 09-24-2013
Brett Favre QB MIN
Brett Favre's agent believes he could "play today," and that he's "in the best shape I've ever seen him in, physically."

Birmingham News
"His arms look like a blacksmith's arms," Bus Cook said Monday. "He rides a bike probably 30-50 miles a day. He runs four or five miles a day. He's coaching at the high school and they're undefeated. He loves it. His body fat is 7.5 percent and he weighs 225 pounds. He could play today, better than a lot of them out there today." It's unclear if Cook is describing Favre or The Most Interesting Man In The World. Either way, Favre's playing days are through, though he could probably give Blaine Gabbert a run for his money in Jacksonville. Favre turns 44 in October.
Chris Cook planning to suit up in Week 4 09-24-2013
Chris Cook CB SF
Vikings RCB Chris Cook (groin) made the team's trip to London, and plans to play in Week 4.

Tom Pelissero on Twitter
Cook missed the entire second half of Sunday's loss to the Browns, but is apparently ready to go. A.J. Jefferson will get the start against Pittsburgh if Cook ultimately ends up sitting out.
Colts waive rookie RB Kerwynn Williams 09-24-2013
Kerwynn Williams RB SD
Colts waived RB Kerwynn Williams.

Adam Caplan on Twitter
The No. 230 pick of April's draft, Williams was promoted from the practice squad on September 13, but is no longer needed following the acquisition of Trent Richardson. He should land back on the practice squad.
Colts waive WR Rogers from active roster 09-24-2013
Da'Rick Rogers WR IND
Colts waived WR Da'Rick Rogers.

Adam Caplan on Twitter
Rogers was promoted from the practice squad last Thursday. Rogers was a "name" undrafted free agent, but couldn't make the Bills out of camp, and was inactive for Indy's Sunday win over the 49ers. Provided he clears waivers, he should be stashed back on Indy's practice squad.
Free agent Tyrell Johnson arrested 09-24-2013
Tyrell Johnson S ATL
Free agent S Tyrell Johnson was arrested and charged with urinating in public and resisting arrest without violence in Miami last weekend.

Miami New Times
The 2008 second-rounder was released by the Lions at final cuts. This won't help his chances of finding a new job. Johnson appeared in just four games for Detroit last season, making three tackles. Johnson was arrested for DWI in 2011.
Local paper 'sure' TEN would listen on Britt 09-24-2013
Kenny Britt WR STL
The Nashville Tennessean is "sure" the Titans would listen to trade offers for Kenny Britt, but is "skeptical" they could get a meaningful return.

Jim Wyatt on Twitter
Coming off a lost 2012 and off to a disastrous start, Britt wouldn't fetch more than a day-three pick, and likely a low-end one at that. In other words, it might not even be worth it for Tennessee to sell low on its former No. 1 receiver, even in a walk year. The Lions, 49ers, Patriots, Ravens, Eagles and Panthers are just a few of the teams with a big-time need at receiver, however, so it would be far from surprising if someone eventually took the plunge.
Report: I.R. not yet considered for Burleson 09-24-2013
Nate Burleson WR CLE
ESPN's Ed Werder reports Nate Burleson (broken arm) will undergo surgery on Wednesday, and that the Lions have no plans to place him on injured reserve for the time being.

Ed Werder on Twitter
Cardinals sign LB Vic So'oto 09-24-2013
Vic So'oto LB PIT
Cardinals signed LB Vic So'oto. So'oto has appeared in 12 career games, with five coming between the Packers and Raiders last season. He's just a body for a team that lost Sam Acho and Lorenzo Alexander in Week 3.
Terrelle Pryor doesn't remember getting hit 09-24-2013
Terrelle Pryor QB SEA
Terrelle Pryor tweeted Tuesday that he doesn't remember taking the hit that gave him a concussion Monday night.

Terrelle Pryor on Twitter
It's never a good sign when memory loss is associated with a concussion. The good news is Pryor did stay in the game and says he feels "great" on Tuesday. The bad news is the Raiders are on a short week. It's an injury to monitor closely because Pryor would be an elite QB2 play against the Redskins in Week 4 if he gets cleared. Former Eagles scout John Middlekauff said Tuesday that he would take Pryor over Cam Newton for the next 10 years. Pryor is improving rapidly as a passer with every start.

Heath Miller's snap count uncertain 09-24-2013
Heath Miller TE PIT
The Steelers are hoping to have snap count restrictions on Heath Miller (knee) removed for Week 4.

Scott Brown on Twitter
Making his 2013 debut nine months removed from a catastrophic knee injury, Miller played on 39-of-66 snaps. He caught three passes for 35 yards and held up well as a blocker. If Miller can return to his every-down role, it will certainly help the Steelers offense. He's on the TE2 radar after posting a 71/816/8 line last year.
Isaac Redman likely the odd man out 09-24-2013
Isaac Redman RB PIT
Isaac Redman is not expected to dress if Le'Veon Bell (foot) is active in Week 4.

Scott Brown on Twitter
Bell is fully expected to make his NFL debut against the Vikings. Redman has fallen behind Felix Jones and Jonathan Dwyer on the depth chart.
Steelers say Le'Veon Bell might start Sunday 09-24-2013
Le'Veon Bell RB PIT
Coach Mike Tomlin said Le'Veon Bell (foot) might start Sunday's Week 4 game against the Vikings.

Ed Bouchette on Twitter
The Steelers confirmed Jay Glazer's report that Bell is expected to make his NFL debut this week. Tomlin will watch how his rookie does in practice before deciding on a workload. Considering the door is open Bell to start, we suspect he's looked good over the last week or so. Even if Bell is on a limited snap count right out of the gate, he should be dominating this backfield when the Steelers come out of their bye in Week 6. Before the foot injury, he was a legit candidate for 280+ touches.
Michael Vick practices Tuesday 09-24-2013
Michael Vick QB NYJ
Michael Vick (foot) will practice Tuesday.

Eagles on Twitter
On the final play of last Thursday's loss to the Chiefs, Vick took a sack and came up limping a little. It's nothing to worry about. Vick, fantasy's No. 2 quarterback through three weeks, will be fine for Sunday's game at Denver. Although injuries have been an issue recently, Vick did play in 15 or more games in four of his six seasons with Atlanta.
LeSean McCoy will practice Tuesday 09-24-2013
LeSean McCoy RB PHI
LeSean McCoy (ankle) will practice Tuesday.

Eagles on Twitter
Owners got quite the scare last Thursday night when McCoy went down in a heap and had to go to the locker room. But he came back into the game, looked 100 percent and is practicing without issue this week. It's just a reminder that all McCoy owners should do what they can to get Bryce Brown on their rosters.
Patrick Chung (shoulder) not practicing 09-24-2013
Patrick Chung S NE
Eagles FS Patrick Chung (shoulder) is not practicing Tuesday.

Geoff Mosher on Twitter
Chung has a left shoulder contusion and is considered day-to-day. He should return to practice later this week and is tentatively expected to play in Sunday's game against the Broncos. Rookie Earl Wolff is Allen's backup.
Bills work out free agent FB John Conner 09-24-2013
John Conner RB NYG
Free agent FB John Conner is working out for the Bills Tuesday.

Aaron Wilson on Twitter
It's the first known interest he's had since being waived by the Bengals. If signed, Connor would replace struggling FB Frank Summers. The Bills primarily use their running game out of singleback and shotgun formations.
Report: Lions looking to trade for receiver 09-24-2013
Josh Gordon WR CLE
The Lions have talked with multiple teams about receivers available for a possible trade.

Tim Twentyman on Twitter
With Nate Burleson (arm) out indefinitely, the Lions are looking to upgrade at wide receiver. Josh Gordon and Greg Little are both reportedly being shopped and are possible trade candidates. Contract-year WR Kenny Britt has been phased out of the Titans offense and could also be available.
Dolphins sign DT Marvin Austin 09-24-2013

Kenjon Barner RB PHI
Kenjon Barner (ankle) was cleared to practice on Tuesday.

Joe Person on Twitter
It's his first time he's practiced since suffering an ankle injury in the preseason finale. Barner is now on track to return following the Panthers' Week 4 bye. When healthy, he could see carries in a change-of-pace role behind DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert.

Hillman wins rock/paper/scissors, gets the TD 09-24-2013
Ronnie Hillman RB DEN
Ronnie Hillman said he got the Broncos fourth-quarter goal-line carry on Monday night because he won a game of rock, paper, scissors.

denverbroncos.com
Early in the final frame, Hillman broke off a 19-yard run to the 1-yard line. The Broncos proceeded to take a timeout. During that break in the action, Hillman says he took on Knowshon Moreno and Montee Ball in rock, paper, scissors to see who would get the touchdown. Hillman chose rock, while Ball and Moreno went with scissors. "We were just messing around on the sideline," Hillman said. "Just something to do. Have fun. ... Luckily I won, so it all worked out."

Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers continues to struggle with knee inflammation.

ESPN.com

Ryan Broyles the Lions new slot man 09-24-2013
Ryan Broyles WR DET
The Lions official site says Ryan Broyles will be the team's primary slot receiver going forward.

Tim Twentyman on Twitter
Nate Burleson broke his arm in a car accident Tuesday morning and is out indefinitely. We have no questions about Broyles ability to excel at the slot job and pile up statistics in the Lions' pass-happy scheme. The only question is the status of his troublesome knees. Coming off another ACL tear, Broyles experienced some setbacks during camp and was on a snap count while making his 2013 debut in Week 3. Still, there's enough upside here to make an add in all formats. If Broyles' knees cooperate, he's going to catch a ton of passes.

Nate Burleson breaks his arm in car accident 09-24-2013
Nate Burleson WR CLE
Nate Burleson broke his arm in two places during an early Tuesday morning car accident.

Dave Birkett on Twitter
Burleson was driving home after watching Monday Night Football with teammates when he was in a single-car wreck. Other than the arm, he's doing fine and police confirmed alcohol was not involved. We don't have a timetable yet, but fractured bones typically take 4-6 weeks to heal. Burleson is undergoing surgery Tuesday, suggesting the recovery period could be even longer. It's a huge blow to the Lions as their veteran ranked 21st in the NFL in receiving yards (239) and was tied for 11th in catches (19). Ryan Broyles was on a strict snap count in Week 3 thanks to his knee issues, but he'll be given every opportunity to run with the slot job now. If Broyles' knees hold up, he'll be capable of WR3 production in PPR formats.
Tracy Porter diagnosed with concussion 09-24-2013
Tracy Porter CB WAS
Raiders CB Tracy Porter has been diagnosed with a concussion.

CSN Bay Area
Porter sustained the injury when he got kneed in the head by teammate Lamarr Houston on Monday night. If he can't go in Week 4, the Raiders would be forced to move Mike Jenkins into the slot, leaving D.J. Haydena and Phillip Adams outside. It would be great news for Robert Griffin III as the Redskins play at Oakland next week.
Schwartz has praise for Ryan Broyles 09-24-2013
Ryan Broyles WR DET
Coach Jim Schwartz noted that "every time" Ryan Broyles has gotten snaps for the Lions, "he's made plays."

Detroit Free Press
Thanks to persistent knee issues stemming from his latest ACL tear, Broyles is on a "pitch count." He 17 snaps in Week 3, catching three three passes for 34 yards. We know Broyles is going to produce when he's on the field because he's a talented and ideal possession receiver for Matthew Stafford. It's worth monitoring his health closely, especially in PPR formats.
Chris Snee needed MRI on hip 09-24-2013
Chris Snee OG NYG
Giants RG Chris Snee underwent an MRI on his hip.

New York Daily News
It's a concern because Snee had hip surgery in the offseason after battling issues with the joint throughout 2012. Along with the rest of the Giants line, Snee has been awful this season. He's already given up three sacks and 10 quarterback hurries in three games. "I think he's got some issues," coach Tom Coughlin said Monday. "We're trying to figure out where that is right now."
Jeff Demps activated by Bucs 09-24-2013
Jeff Demps RB TB
Bucs activated KR Jeff Demps from the exempt/commissioner's permission list. Demps was given special dispensation from the league after missing all of the offseason and training camp for the track and field season. Jermaine Kearse dealing with ankle issue 09-24-2013
Jermaine Kearse WR SEA
Seahawks WR Jermaine Kearse (ankle) has ditched his walking boot already.

Seattle Times
Kearse left the Week 3 massacre of the Jags early after spraining his ankle. According to coach Pete Carroll, he was already moving around well on Monday. Kearse, a deep Dynasty stash with Golden Tate in a contract year, has three catches for 66 yards with a touchdown on the season.
Report: Amendola is 'progressing very well' 09-24-2013
Danny Amendola WR NE
A source tells the Boston Globe that Danny Amendola (groin) is "progressing very well."

Boston Globe
There's still no word on Amendola's status for Week 4 or any kind of timetable. But a Yahoo report from over the weekend said it's actually a good thing that Amendola completely tore the adductor longus tendon in his groin because it eliminated the need for surgery and sped up his recovery timeline. The report said he has a shot to play Week 4 against the Falcons. We could be looking at a game-time call for Sunday Night Football.
Starks couldn't play if Pack had Week 4 game 09-24-2013
James Starks RB GB
James Starks (knee) admitted he probably couldn't play if the Packers had a game this week.

Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
Starks underwent a Monday MRI on the knee he injured against the Bengals. "I'm hoping. I prayed about it. So hopefully everything goes how I want it to go. It's God's plan. I'll just make the best of it. ... They're just making sure everything is good from the swelling and everything. But it feels better than it did." Either way, Starks won't be a real fantasy option if Eddie Lacy (concussion) gets cleared following the Week 4 bye.
Eddie Lacy expects to play following the bye 09-24-2013
Eddie Lacy RB GB
Eddie Lacy (concussion) expects to play when the Packers come out of their bye in Week 5.

Green Bay Press-Gazette
This is not a lock because Lacy failed his concussion test on Saturday. But he has been cleared for exercise and the belief is that he'll be cleared for contact when the Packers reconvene in ahead of their Oct. 6 game against the Lions. We won't know how Lacy is doing until Monday as he flew home to Louisiana yesterday. He was going to return to the feature back job anyway, but it certainly doesn't hurt that James Starks (knee) and John Kuhn (hamstring) are both nursing injuries of their own.
Raiders rookie TE Rivera catches two passes 09-24-2013
Mychal Rivera TE OAK
Rookie TE Mychal Rivera caught two passes for 21 yards in Oakland's Week 3 loss to the Broncos on Monday night. Rivera was targeted three times in the passing game and had one third-down catch nullified by his own offensive pass interference. He has seven catches for 79 yards through three games. Rivera will remain the starting tight end in Oakland after David Ausberry was placed on season-ending I.R. Monday.
Jacoby Ford catches one pass in Week 3 09-24-2013
Jacoby Ford WR NYJ
Jacoby Ford caught just one pass for 15 yards and rushed one time for another four yards in Monday night's Week 3 loss to Denver. Ford has just four catches for 29 yards through three games as the Raiders' No. 4 receiver. He's well off the fantasy radar, obviously.

Marcel Reece catches TD from DMC in Week 3 09-24-2013
Marcel Reece RB OAK
Marcel Reece caught four passes for 45 yards and one touchdown in Monday night's Week 3 loss to the Broncos. The Raiders wanted to get Reece more touches, so they did just that. However, it wasn't hard to surpass his Week 1 (one) and Week 2 (two) totals. Reece caught his 16-yard touchdown from the right hand of Darren McFadden in the third quarter. Reece won't be on the fantasy radar unless DMC gets hurt.
Hillman runs for 66 yards, TD in Week 3 win 09-24-2013
Ronnie Hillman RB DEN
Ronnie Hillman rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown on nine carries in Denver's Week 3 win over Oakland on Monday night. He caught his lone target for 12 yards. Hillman was the third back to enter behind Knowshon Moreno and Montee Ball, as expected, but ended up having the best night. He showed plenty of juice as he repeatedly gashed the Raiders with runs up the middle. Hillman's long run went for 19 yards to the one-yard line. He then punched it in on the next play. Hillman still isn't worth a roster spot in 10- and 12-team leagues. However, he is worth keeping an eye on.
Rookie WR Butler catches three passes Week 3 09-24-2013
Brice Butler WR OAK
Raiders rookie WR Brice Butler caught three passes for 54 yards in Monday night's Week 3 loss to the Broncos. Butler, a seventh-round pick out of San Diego State, was targeted four times on the night but had a brutal drop on a first-quarter third-and-17 pass that would have been a first down. Butler shined in the preseason, catching five passes for 108 yards and a score. He has just six catches for 72 yards after three regular-season games. This goes without saying, but leave him on the wire.
Moreno rushes for just 39 yards in Week 3 win 09-24-2013
Knowshon Moreno RB MIA
Knowshon Moreno rushed for just 39 yards on 12 carries in Monday night's Week 3 win over the Raiders.
Streater catches just three passes in Week 3 09-24-2013
Rod Streater WR OAK
Rod Streater caught three passes for 42 yards in Oakland's Week 3 loss to the Broncos on Monday night. Streater was out-produced by fellow starter Denarius Moore this week. Streater saw just four targets and put up the exact same stat line as he did in Week 2. The Raiders can't feed more than one mouth per week, leaving Moore and Streater as nothing more than WR4/5s on good days. If both are going to pack the stat sheets in the same game, next week against the Redskins will be the week they do it.
Orange Julius catches another TD in Week 3 09-24-2013
Julius Thomas TE DEN
Julius Thomas caught three passes for 37 yards and one touchdown in Monday night's Week 3 win over the Raiders. It was Orange Julius' lowest single-game catches and yards total through the first three weeks, but he visited the end zone for the fourth time on the young season. Thomas was targeted just four times. His touchdown came from 13 yards out on a play where Peyton Manning recognized the nickel corner was blitzing, leaving Thomas open to get to the corner of the end zone. Thomas remains a weekly TE1 in this high-octane attack. The Eagles are up next in Week 4.
Demaryius hauls in 10 passes in Week 3 win 09-24-2013
Demaryius Thomas WR DEN
Demaryius Thomas caught ten passes for 94 yards in Denver's Week 3 win over the Raiders on Monday night. Thomas hauled in ten of his 11 targets which came mostly on short passes, allowing the 235-pound beast to use his run-after-catch ability. He didn't catch a touchdown for the second week in a row, but that's going to happen in an offense that has many mouths to feed. Look for Thomas to roast the Eagles' burnable secondary next week at home. He's locked in as a top-six fantasy receiver.
Denarius Moore posts 6/124/1 line in MNF loss 09-24-2013
Denarius Moore WR OAK
Denarius Moore caught six passes for 124 yards and one touchdown in Monday night's Week 3 loss to the Broncos.
Decker catches first TD of season in Week 3 09-24-2013
Eric Decker WR NYJ
Eric Decker caught eight passes for 133 yards and one touchdown in Monday night's Week 3 win over the Raiders. Decker caught all eight targets and secured his first touchdown of the season. Shame on any fantasy owners that dumped Decker after his lousy Week 1 and touchdown-less Week 2. Decker kicked off the scoring by reeling in a two-yard pass to put a cap on the Broncos' opening drive. The defenders bit on a classic Peyton Manning play-action fake, leaving Decker wide open in the back of the end zone. Keep starting Decker with confidence as a high-upside WR2/3. The Broncos could have another field day against the Eagles next week at home.
Welker reels in seven passes, TD in Week 3 09-24-2013
Wes Welker WR DEN
Wes Welker caught seven passes for 84 yards and one touchdown in Monday night's Week 3 win over the Raiders. Welker reeled in seven of his eight targets and had a field day, just like the rest of his teammates, with the Raiders' pathetic secondary. His touchdown came from 12 yards out in the second quarter when he easily slipped through Oakland's zone defense. Welker already has four touchdowns this season. He appears poised to get into double digits and set a new career-high in the category. Next up for the Broncos are the Eagles in Week 4.
McFadden runs for TD, tosses another in loss 09-24-2013
Darren McFadden RB OAK
Darren McFadden rushed for nine yards and one touchdown on 12 carries and threw a 16-yard touchdown in Monday night's Week 3 loss to the Broncos. DMC was completely stuffed on all of his runs. The two touchdowns saved any owners that happened to start him this week as McFadden was coming off a huge Week 2. The Broncos have been dominant against the run through three games, and they've done it minus their best run defender in Von Miller. McFadden will have a much better matchup against the sieve-like Redskins next week. He needs Terrelle Pryor to get through concussion protocol this week in order to be effective. McFadden will have no chance if Matt Flynn is under center.
