Foot injury kept Brandon Bolden out of OTAs 06-10-2013
Brandon Bolden RB NE
The "undisclosed ailment" that kept Patriots RB Brandon Bolden from participating in OTAs was a foot injury.

Boston Herald
Ravens to make decision on Leach by noon Tue. 06-10-2013
Vonta Leach RB BAL
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports if the Ravens can't trade FB Vonta Leach by 12:00 PM ET on Tuesday, then he will be released.

Jason La Canfora on Twitter
The Ravens will be lucky to get a conditional late-round choice back in return for Leach, so we fully expect him to get his walking papers tomorrow afternoon. Even at 31 years of age, Leach was far and away Pro Football Focus' top-rated lead blocker in 2012. Once released, he shouldn't be out of work very long.
Free agent DE Crowder to try out for Jaguars 06-10-2013
Tim Crowder DE TB
Free agent DE Tim Crowder will try out at Jaguars minicamp this week. Crowder, a 2007 second-round pick by the Broncos, was out of the league last season. He last played for the Buccaneers in 2011, registering 14 tackles in ten games played. Crowder has 10.5 career sacks across five seasons.
Ex-Packer WR Smithson signs on in CFL 06-10-2013
Shaky Smithson WR GB
Ex-Packers WR Shaky Smithson has signed with the CFL's Calgary Stampeders.

Adam Caplan on Twitter
Smithson was part of the trio -- along with Tori Gurley and Diondre Borel -- getting talked up in Packers camp as "more than just camp bodies" last year. None of the three made the team, and Smithson was never a realistic candidate.
Report: Victor Cruz will not attend minicamp 06-10-2013
Victor Cruz WR NYG
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports unsigned restricted free agent Victor Cruz will not be in attendance at minicamp this week.

Ian Rapoport on Twitter
Long-term contract talks are reportedly moving "incredibly slowly." A week from Monday, the Giants will have the option to slash Cruz's RFA tended from $2.879 million to the fourth-year veteran's minimum of $630,000. We wouldn't expect the team to do that, but deadlines tend to spur action. Eli Manning has said that he does expect receiver Hakeem Nicks to be at camp on Tuesday.
Broncos contact Clady's agent about contract 06-10-2013
Ryan Clady OT DEN
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Broncos reached out to franchise player LT Ryan Clady's agent to talk about a long-term contract.

NFL.com
Cowboys sign DT Jeris Pendleton 06-10-2013
Jeris Pendleton DT IND
Cowboys signed DT Jeris Pendleton, formerly of the Jaguars.

ESPN Dallas
Pendleton, 30 in November, was a seventh-round pick of the Jaguars last year. He was cut by Jacksonville last month, and is a roster long shot in Big D.
Bills release backup QB Tarvaris Jackson 06-10-2013
Tarvaris Jackson QB SEA
Bills released QB Tarvaris Jackson.

Joe Buscaglia on Twitter
The Bills start minicamp tomorrow, so they obviously want Kevin Kolb and rookie E.J. Manuel taking all of the reps. Jackson took the first snap from under center at OTAs, but he was never a realistic option to start. Jackson was re-signed to a one-year, $2.25 million contract in February, but none of that money was guaranteed. He becomes the best quarterback on the free-agent market.
Could Patriots get involved with Bradshaw? 06-10-2013
Ahmad Bradshaw RB IND
Profootballtalk's Mike Florio reports the Patriots "possibly could get involved" with free agent Ahmad Bradshaw.

Profootballtalk on NBC Sports
Bradshaw and the Colts are still talking, and they make the most sense for the 27-year-old. He could just be using New England to get the Colts to up their offer a bit. We all know the Patriots don't need another running back. The Indianapolis Star expects a Bradshaw, Colts resolution by Monday night.
Lead blocker Leach on the outs in Baltimore 06-10-2013
Vonta Leach RB BAL
The Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens have been unable to reach a salary compromise with FB Vonta Leach, and are expected to trade or cut him by Tuesday.

Baltimore Sun
The Ravens were intent on reducing Leach's $3 million salary and $4.33 million cap figure, but he wouldn't budge. Leach was phased out of the offense under OC Jim Caldwell down the stretch last season, and Baltimore drafted replacement Kyle Juszczyk out of Harvard. Most likely, Leach will be released.
Tim Tebow to play quarterback with Patriots 06-10-2013
Tim Tebow QB NE
ESPN's Chris Mortensen confirms Tim Tebow will be a quarterback with the Patriots.

Chris Mortensen on Twitter
Per Mort, Tebow will enter Tuesday's minicamp as New England's third-string QB, behind Tom Brady and Ryan Mallett. Despite previous rumors otherwise, Tebow is not being tried at tight end, although it would be in Tebow's best interests to be open to playing any position. He's avoided trying tight end in the past. Obviously, Tebow is not going to be a major threat for playing time behind future Hall of Famer Brady and young, strong-armed backup Mallett. The Pats may be simply kicking the tires on the former Josh McDaniels draft pick.
Nicks, Cruz no-shows for minicamp physicals 06-10-2013
Hakeem Nicks WR IND
Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz were both no-shows as the Giants convened for pre-minicamp physicals Monday evening.

Adam Schefter on Twitter
Conflicting reports about Tebow's position 06-10-2013
Tim Tebow QB NE
There are conflicting reports about Tim Tebow's position in New England.

Mike Freeman on Twitter
Reported ESPN's Ed Werder on SportsCenter, "I have confirmed that the Patriots signed him with the intent of playing quarterback." Meanwhile, CBS Sports' Mike Freeman reported Tebow will "study a great deal at tight end." The Patriots' upcoming mandatory minicamp will not be open to the media. Don't expect Josh McDaniels or Bill Belichick to specify Tebow's position, even when pressed. We may have to wait for preseason games to have a good idea.
Dolphins sign rookie CB Will Davis 06-10-2013
Will Davis CB MIA
Dolphins signed third-round CB Will Davis to a four-year contract.

Aaron Wilson on Twitter
49ers sign rookie Corey Lemonier 06-10-2013
Corey Lemonier LB SF
49ers signed third-round OLB Corey Lemonier to a four-year contract.

Aaron Wilson on Twitter
An explosive edge presence from Auburn, Lemonier could emerge as a speed rusher in nickel and dime packages if he develops quickly as a rookie. If not, he's built to run down kicks on special teams at 6-foot-3, 255 with 4.6-flat wheels.
Patriots waive QB Mike Kafka 06-10-2013
Mike Kafka QB TB
Patriots waived QB Mike Kafka and DT DeWayne Cherrington. 25-year-old Kafka can tell his kids he was the man waived to clear offseason roster room for the Patriots' signing of Tim Tebow. Kafka reportedly showed weak arm strength in OTAs and was never a realistic candidate for the 53.
Patriots sign Tim Tebow before minicamp 06-10-2013
Tim Tebow QB NE
Patriots signed QB Tim Tebow, formerly of the Jets.

Ed Werder on Twitter
To clear roster space, they waived Mike Kafka, paving the way for Tebow to win New England's third-string quarterback job behind Tom Brady and Ryan Mallett. Tebow will be at Patriots minicamp on Tuesday. The connection is obvious; OC Josh McDaniels traded up for Tebow at the 25th overall pick while running the Broncos' football operations in 2010. We're assuming Tebow will primarily play quarterback, but he could also be tried at H-back or tight end while Rob Gronkowski (arm, back) rehabs. Of course, we won't hold our breath for McDaniels and Bill Belichick to reveal their specific plans.
Weeden praises WR Travis Benjamin 06-10-2013
Travis Benjamin WR CLE
Brandon Weeden says second-year WR Travis Benjamin has "stuck out" in spring practices and praised Benjamin's route-running ability.

Akron Beacon-Journal
Because Greg Little, Davone Bess, and David Nelson are all strict possession receivers, it's conceivable that burner Benjamin will be the primary beneficiary of Josh Gordon's two-game suspension. "Travis had at least as many catches if not more than anybody in camp," Weeden said. "His route running is phenomenal, probably because he's so fast. Guys have to honor him running by them."
Luke McCown to open came ahead of Wallace 06-10-2013
Luke McCown QB NO
Luke McCown is expected to open Saints training camp taking most of the second-team reps behind Drew Brees.

New Orleans Times-Picayune
McCown is trying to hold off Seneca Wallace and UdFA Ryan Griffin. Griffin has caught coach Sean Payton's eye, but is more likely a candidate for third string or the practice squad. McCown and Wallace are vying for one spot.
CJ?K in 'great shape', looks 'explosive' 06-10-2013
Chris Johnson RB NYJ
According to the Nashville Tennessean, Chris Johnson "looks to be in great shape" at Titans OTAs and "has been explosive."

Nashville Tennessean
Keep in mind we heard similar things all last offseason. When the games began, Johnson's effort was hit or miss and he blamed his offensive line for poor performances. Johnson will play behind the most talented O-Line of his career in 2013, but we still anticipate inconsistency. He's a boom-or-bust back.
Rams hosting free agent Sherrod Martin 06-10-2013
Sherrod Martin S JAX
The Rams are hosting free agent S Sherrod Martin on Monday.

Aaron Wilson on Twitter
Martin visited the Chiefs in early April, but hadn't been heard from since. The 28-year-old was selected by the Panthers 59th overall in the 2009 draft.
No JaMarcus Russell-Ravens workout yet 06-10-2013
JaMarcus Russell QB
Updating a previous item, the Ravens do not have a workout scheduled with free agent JaMarcus Russell.

Baltimore Sun
Russell was apparently under the impression he'd visit the Ravens next, following his Bears tryout. Nothing has been finalized yet. Still, it's a good sign for Russell's football future that his name is making the rounds again. He's got his weight down to 267 pounds and multiple teams are showing interest.
Olivier Vernon taking 1st-team reps on D 06-10-2013
Olivier Vernon LB MIA
Dolphins second-year DE Olivier Vernon has taken reps with the first-team defense at OTAs.

Miami Herald
With Randy Starks (franchise tag) and Dion Jordan (late graduation) both away from the offseason sessions, Vernon has worked as the first-team right end and Jared Odrick has been the starting tackle next to Paul Soliai. Vernon won't be an every-down player in 2013, but he should have a role in sub-packages. The 2012 third-round pick registered 3.5 sacks off the bench as a rookie.
Ryan Clady to report to training camp on time 06-10-2013
Ryan Clady OT DEN
Unsigned franchise player LT Ryan Clady said Monday that he plans to report on time to Broncos training camp.

Lindsay Jones on Twitter
"More than likely I'll be there," he said. Clady will skip mandatory minicamp after missing all of OTA season. The Broncos and Clady haven't discussed his desired long-term contract in over a year. At this point, the best way for Clady to get paid is to play the good-soldier role and wait for the team to respond.
Justin Hunter misses 7th OTA practice 06-10-2013
Justin Hunter WR TEN
Titans rookie WR Justin Hunter has missed each of the team's first seven OTA practices with a hamstring strain.

Jim Wyatt on Twitter
He was out again on Monday. The Nashville Tennessean reports Hunter may be held out until training camp. Hunter's toughness has already been questioned publicly by WRs coach Shawn Jefferson. He's falling behind the eight ball.
Delanie Walker resumes practicing 06-10-2013
Delanie Walker TE TEN
Titans TE Delanie Walker (knee) has resumed practicing at spring workouts.

Jim Wyatt on Twitter
He should be fine moving forward. While Walker has the best opportunity for fantasy value of his career in Tennessee this year, we're not anticipating more than 45-50 receptions. Walker's strength is blocking, not receiving.
Eli expects Nicks to report to minicamp 06-10-2013
Hakeem Nicks WR IND
Eli Manning says he's been in contact with Hakeem Nicks and expects the contract-year receiver to report to mandatory minicamp this week.

Ohm Youngmisuk on Twitter
Nicks wants a new contract and is coming off multiple debilitating injuries, but he's unlikely to forfeit up to $66,000 by skipping the three-day workout session. His 2013 base salary is (only?) $2.725 million. Nicks is a different case from Victor Cruz because Cruz is not under contract and can't be fined.
MJD noncommittal about readiness for camp 06-10-2013
Maurice Jones-Drew RB OAK
Maurice Jones-Drew (Lisfranc surgery) was noncommittal Monday when asked whether he'll be ready for the first day of training camp.

Vito Stellino on Twitter
It sounds like he could open camp on the active/PUP list. Jones-Drew insists his rehab is "on schedule," and he no longer feels pain in the surgically repaired foot. He will not participate in the Jaguars' mandatory minicamp this week. Jones-Drew has a ton of wear on his tires, will be 28 1/2 when the season starts, and is coming off a severe foot fracture. He'll be a dice-roll fantasy RB2.
Pacman popped on assault charge in Cincnnati 06-10-2013
Adam Jones CB CIN
Bengals CB Pacman Jones has been charged with one count of assault after allegedly punching a female outside of a Cincinnati bar near Great American Ballpark.

Cincinnati Enquirer
Jones' agent claims Pacman was standing outside the bar on Wednesday night after a Reds-Rockies game. Two women attempted to take their picture with him, and Pacman said no "because he's married and the last thing he wants is a picture with two women showing up on Twitter or something." The agent claims Jones was then hit with a bottle on the head from only a few feet away. "He turns around and immediately slaps the person," explained agent Peter Schaffer. "He has no idea what's going on or who threw the bottle."
Bears waive WRs Moss, Fields 06-10-2013
Dale Moss WR CHI
Bears waived WRs Dale Moss and Demetrius Fields. Moss was an intriguing UDFA out of South Dakota State last year, spending some time on the Packers' practice squad after playing basketball in college. To get waived in early June, Moss must not have shown well at OTAs.
Bears sign WRs Aromashodu, Jackson 06-10-2013
Devin Aromashodu WR CHI
Bears signed WRs Devin Aromashodu and Jerrell Jackson. Bears fans will recall Aromashodu from his three seasons (2008-2010) in Chicago, where he sometimes flashed vertical tools but never developed into a consistent offensive contributor. He's 29 years old now, and coming off an 11-catch season with Minnesota. Jackson is a former UDFA out of Missouri.
Jairus Byrd won't report to Bills minicamp 06-10-2013
Jairus Byrd S NO
Bills unsigned franchise player Jairus Byrd will not report to mandatory minicamp on Tuesday.

Ian Rapoport on Twitter
Byrd isn't obligated to attend because he hasn't signed his franchise tender yet, and isn't under contract. In early May, Bills radio announcer Mark Kelso reported the sides were roughly $2 million apart in long-term contract talks. It's unclear if Byrd would report to training camp without a pricey extension.
Aaron Rodgers believes he has 7 years left 06-10-2013
Aaron Rodgers QB GB
Aaron Rodgers believes he can play seven more years in the NFL.

Green Bay Press-Gazette
Rodgers doesn't turn 30 until December. "I fully expect to play well and if I can play seven more good years and we can have some more success and win a couple more (titles), then it might be time to hang it up," said Rodgers. Knocked as injury prone early in his career, Rodgers has missed just two games over the past five seasons. His TD-to-INT ratio over the past two is 84:14.
Pacman tweets he was arrested Monday morning 06-10-2013
Adam Jones CB CIN
Bengals CB Pacman Jones tweeted he was arrested Monday morning for "protecting (himself)."

Pacman Jones on Twitter
Further details are unavailable, but Pacman tweeted he will "not let this break me or change what I have work so hard for." It's bad, bad news for one of the poster boys of misbehaving athletes, and regardless of whether or not Pacman was "protecting himself," it's likely endangered his roster spot. He'll also be in line for a lengthy suspension. The situation should be updated by this afternoon.
Bears waive troublemaking TE/FB Rodriguez 06-10-2013
Evan Rodriguez TE TB
Bears waived FB/TE Evan Rodriguez.

Brad Biggs on Twitter
The move comes just five days after GM Phil Emery hinted he'd give his troublemaking lead-blocker another chance. The Bears have signed FB Tony Fiammetta to take Rodriguez's roster spot. A fourth-round pick last season, Rodriguez was hit-or-miss across 217 snaps. Giving up on a fourth-rounder this quickly is unusual, so perhaps the Bears were unsatisfied with Rodriguez beyond his two offseason arrests.
Romo held out for 'precautionary reasons' 06-10-2013
Tony Romo QB DAL
Tony Romo (back surgery) won't participate in this week's minicamp for "precautionary reasons."

Ed Werder on Twitter
Owner Jerry Jones confirmed as much last week. Romo is expected to be 100 percent well ahead of training camp.
Bernadeau (shoulder) still healing up 06-10-2013
Mackenzy Bernadeau OG DAL
Cowboys RG Mackenzy Bernadeau (shoulder surgery) won't participate in this week's minicamp, but is expected to be ready for training camp.

ESPN Dallas
"I'm feeling good, but it's just not football ready yet," Bernadeau said. "I don't want to go out there not being able to compete at 100 percent. ... The first day of (training) camp, I'll be ready to go." Bernadeau is expected to face competition for his starting job from Phil Costa and Ronald Leary.
Bears sign FB Tony Fiammetta 06-10-2013
Tony Fiammetta RB CHI
Bears signed FB Tony Fiammetta. Fiammetta spent 2012 on the reserve/left squad list for the Patriots after his 2011 was derailed by a suspected concussion. Fiammetta was a difference-making lead blocker for the Cowboys in 2011 before going down. He's insurance for TE/FB Evan Rodriguez, who's been arrested twice this offseason.
Chad Ochocinco sentenced to 30 days in jail 06-10-2013
Chad Ochocinco WR N/A
Free agent Chad Johnson has been sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating the terms of his probation in his 2012 domestic violence case.

Associated Press
Ochocinco was working toward a plea deal that involved no jail time, but angered the judge after he "playfully slapped his attorney on the behind in court." Unreal. The judge also extended Ocho's probation period by three months. A strong career is wheezing to a pitiful end.
Gronk's surgery 'likely' to imperil Week 1? 06-10-2013
Rob Gronkowski TE NE
The Boston Herald considers Rob Gronkowski's upcoming back operation "likely" to force him to miss regular season games.

Boston Herald
It's not a sourced report from beat writer Jeff Howe, but an informed guess. Going under the knife later this month, Gronk is expected to require somewhere in the neighborhood of 10-12 weeks of recovery time. If your league is drafting early, it's hard to see the upside in making Gronk a first-round pick.
Bond getting shot at swing-tackle duties 06-10-2013
Travis Bond G STL
The Vikings are giving seventh-round OL Travis Bond a shot to earn swing-tackle duties.

ESPN 1500 Twin Cities
Bond played mostly guard at North Carolina, but has tackle size at 6-foot-6, 329 pounds with 35.5-inch arms. "I think I can do it," Bond said. The Vikings are thin behind starting tackles Matt Kalil and Phil Loadholt, but limited athletically, we doubt Bond has the skill to make the transition from ACC guard to NFL tackle as a rookie.
Colts still in 'heavy' talks with Bradshaw 06-10-2013
Ahmad Bradshaw RB IND
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Colts are still in "heavy negotiations" with free agent Ahmad Bradshaw.

Ian Rapoport on Twitter
The Colts are simply waiting Bradshaw out. Indy is almost certainly offering the league minimum, and with no other known suitors, Bradshaw has little-to-no leverage. A deal makes too much sense for both sides not to get done.
JaMarcus: I have upcoming tryout with BAL 06-10-2013
JaMarcus Russell QB
According to ESPN's Ed Werder, free agent JaMarcus Russell believes he'll soon work out for the Ravens.

Ed Werder on Twitter
Russell reportedly made the disclosure at last Friday's Bears tryout. As was the case with Chicago, we doubt Russell would be working out for the Ravens with an eye toward a contract, but instead an addition to their emergency list. Getting workouts is just the first step in Russell's long-shot comeback bid.
Ngata 'still recovering' from SB knee injury 06-10-2013
Haloti Ngata DT BAL
Ravens NT Haloti Ngata is "still recovering" from his Super Bowl knee injury.

Baltimore Sun
He's expected to be limited in this week's minicamp. Ngata reportedly suffered "just" a left MCL sprain, but he's been doing little in OTAs. It's not a concern for Week 1, but Ngata could be eased into training camp. The Ravens want Ngata to be more diligent about his weight after he reported "heavier than normal" last summer.
Terrell Suggs 'noticeably thinner' 06-10-2013
Terrell Suggs DE BAL
The Baltimore Sun reports Terrell Suggs is "noticeably thinner" than he was last season, where he lost the vast majority of his offseason to a torn Achilles'.

Baltimore Sun
Suggs didn't play with the same explosiveness after he returned in Week 7, and part of it may have had to do with lost conditioning time. Torn Achilles' have become far less daunting to return from in recent years, but going on 31, it's quite possible Suggs will never return to his pre-injury form.
Bucs impressed with Goldson's leadership 06-10-2013
Dashon Goldson S TB
The Bucs have been impressed with new FS Dashon Goldson's leadership.

Tampa Tribune
"He keeps (our) young corners out there just working and no one asked him to do that, and that's just what veterans need to do," coach Greg Schiano said. "I'm glad he's ours. He cares a lot." Goldson's leadership is surely an added plus, but it's his play the Bucs are looking forward to after finishing dead last in pass defense last season.

Mario Williams says he doesn't have position 06-10-2013
Mario Williams DE BUF
Bills DE Mario Williams says he doesn't have a position in new DC Mike Pettine's hybrid 3-4 defense.

buffalobills.com
"If I was going to be labeled I'd probably be labeled defensive end because of my size," Williams said. "But I don't have a position." Pettine says that's by design. "We want to get the bulls-eye off him and move him around," Pettine said. "We want to dictate to teams that if they're going to deal with Mario, they're going to have to find him first. I think he's certainly smart enough to handle it and versatile enough to handle it." Known for an aggressive, blitz-heavy approach, Pettine should be able to coax a big season out of the Bills' $96 million man.
Unhappy 'Fins DT Starks reports for minicamp 06-10-2013
Randy Starks DT MIA
Disgruntled Dolphins DT Randy Starks will report for this week's mandatory minicamp.

Adam Beasley on Twitter
Starks signed his one-year, $8.5 million franchise tender in March, but held out of all voluntary activities in search of a long-term deal. He would have been subject to heavy fines for blowing off this week's minicamp. Starks' desire for a long-term deal is understandable, but going on 30, he may not get one unless it's for a team-friendly price.
Cook: I was a bad fit for Titans offense 06-10-2013
Jared Cook TE STL
New Rams TE Jared Cook says the Titans offense "really didn't suit me."

St Louis Post-Dispatch
Pats MLB Spikes reports for minicamp 06-10-2013
Brandon Spikes LB BUF
Patriots MLB Brandon Spikes reported for the start of mandatory minicamp Monday.

Boston Herald
Spikes was a no-show for OTAs as he worked out on his own, but a source insists his absence wasn't a protest as he heads into the final year of his rookie contract. Spikes would have been subject to heavy fines for missing minicamp, so it was always expected that he would report. Spikes followed the same routine last offseason en route to a breakout year.
Medical emergency lands Merriman in hospital 06-10-2013
Shawne Merriman LB BUF
Retired DE Shawne Merriman has been hospitalized after experiencing a "medical emergency" at a Los Angeles nightclub Sunday.

Washington Post
Merriman was whisked from the club to Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Although there's been no official word, the Los Angeles Times reports Merriman's emergency was an "alcohol-drug" overdose. He is reportedly fine as of Monday morning.
'Little doubt' RGIII is ready for Week 1 06-10-2013
Robert Griffin III QB WAS
SI's Peter King believes there's "little doubt" Robert Griffin III (ACL, LCL surgery) is ready for Week 1.

Sports Illustrated
King came to the conclusion after watching RGIII "run sprints around the practice field Thursday." King gets "zero sense" the Redskins aren't planning on having Griffin September 9 against the Eagles. It's just the latest glowing report on RGIII's progress, though we must add the usual caveat that his status can't truly be judged before the preseason. Either way, it's hard not to be encouraged by the reports.
Welker: By design I'm with Peyton Manning 06-10-2013
Wes Welker WR DEN
Wes Welker admits he feels like he can "be myself a little more" in Denver, and says it was "kind of by design" that he ended up with Peyton Manning.

Yahoo Sports
"There weren't too many quarterbacks that I would've gone out there and played with." Welker also reiterated he expects his numbers to go down in Denver's crowded offense. "I don't really care if they do or not," Welker said." It's not my goal. It's not what I'm about or anything else. If I have to catch 112 balls, I don't know if we're gonna be the team we want to be. I'll catch as many as it takes to win, and whatever that is, that's what it is."
Kyle Love making good impression with Jags 06-10-2013
Kyle Love DT CAR
New Jaguars DT Kyle Love (diabetes) hasn't been limited in OTAs, and is expected to be a "big part" of Jacksonville's defensive tackle rotation.

Florida Times Union
Like Jay Cutler and a host of other professional athletes, Love has found a way to work around his diabetes diagnosis. A 24-game starter over the past two seasons, Love should play heavy snaps as a run stuffer as new coach Gus Bradley remakes the Jaguars' defensive line.
Alan Ball running as Jags' top cornerback 06-10-2013
Alan Ball S JAX
"As of now," Alan Ball is the Jaguars' No. 1 cornerback.

Florida Times Union
Per beat writer Ryan O'Halloran, Ball has made the "right kind of impression" in OTAs. That's all good and well, but now 28, Ball played just 85 snaps for the Texans last season. His apparent ascension to No. 1 cornerback speaks to how thin the Jags' secondary is. With Ball apparently locked into a starting job, third-rounder Dwayne Gratz and Marcus Trufant will compete for the other outside job with Mike Harris manning the slot.
Suh impressed with Ziggy Ansah's progress 06-10-2013
Ziggy Ansah DE DET
Lions DT Ndamukong Suh is impressed with first-round DE Ziggy Ansah's progress.

Detroit Free Press
"He's learning our defense so fast and so quick," Suh said. "He's obviously running with the ones in and out." Suh is trying to take on more of a leadership role in the absence of Kyle Vanden Bosch and Corey Williams. "It's having that good communication. So with you seeing me speak up it's we're all just communicating and having a good time and understanding where we're supposed to be."
Ray Rice 'fixture' at offseason program 06-10-2013
Ray Rice RB BAL
Ray Rice has been a "fixture" at the Ravens' offseason program.

Baltimore Sun
That's in contract to last year, where a franchise tagged Rice missed the Ravens' entire offseason program as the sides negotiated a long-term deal. "I'll be honest, it was different this year," Rice said. "I wasn't playing football at this time last year. That was totally different." Coming of a down season by the lofty standards of Rice's 2009-11, Rice remains locked in as an elite RB1 despite the presence of an emerging Bernard Pierce.
